As a student of a BFI Film Academy course, you will gain invaluable experience working alongside industry professionals who are respected practitioners in their field. You will be offered hands-on filmmaking experience which will help you to develop practical knowledge and skills. You’ll be able to explore your own creativity and passions in a supportive and dynamic environment.

What’s more, you could also apply for one of our two intensive residential programmes. Courses last between one and two weeks and are designed to develop more specialist filmmaking skills. You will work closely with leading industry professionals who will give you a unique insight into the filmmaking business and guide you along the way.

The Bulldozer BFI Film Academies take place in Cardiff and Swansea from the 26th-30th October 2020 (Covid dependant). If the courses aren’t physically able to happen we will enable you to participate online.

Anyone can apply to be on this course, regardless of your level of experience. The course fee is £25 once you are accepted, however please do not hesitate to apply if you can not afford this fee, as we can arrange for this to be covered for you, as well as travel expenses (subject to qualifying for a bursary).

We have welcomed incredible guests to talk to our academies in the past few years, including Kevin Allen (Twin Town), Bait Studios, Milk, Framestore and Keri Collins (Tourist Trap).

To apply, just click the link at the bottom of the page. If you have any questions, email us on bulldozerfilms@hotmail.com
